Revving Up the Engines, Part 3 of The Great Canadian Protest

by Collin Wynter

Part 3 of my series, The Great Canadian Protest. Make sure to check out parts 1 & 2: Keep on Truckin’ & Fuelling Up on Courage.

‘The Liberals’ and the left wing media’s narrative is crumbling’, is a common exposition by those who have been watching the Freedom Convoy protest in earnest. As there continues to be no actual evidence that the protestors are “right wing extremists”, that they are the decried anti-vaxxers so feared by Trudeau, that they have violent intentions to tear down the government, the propaganda by those salivating at such a scenario, is ramping up. Calling the Ottawa protests ‘peaceful’ plays down non-violent dangers, critics say, reads one headline of many, in the vein of fomenting hate and division. One might even think this is an attempt to spark a flame, thereby providing justification for the use of force by the authorities. Canadians are true hearted and will not subject themselves to such machinations; regardless of the slander Trudeau and his sycophants continue to hurl.

Trudeau must have spent all weekend practicing his speeches

After emerging from his slumber, and now presenting himself under the victimhood veil of having tested positive for covid-19 (despite the fact that he is double vaxxed and boosted), he pontificated such magniloquence as this:

“As my friend Irwin Cotler said on Saturday, freedom of expression, assembly and association are cornerstones of democracy, but Nazi symbolism, racist imagery and desecration of war memorials are not. It is an insult to memory and truth. Hate can never be the answer. Over the past few days Canadians were shocked, and frankly disgusted, by the behaviour displayed by some people protesting in our nation’s capital. I want to be very clear, we are not intimidated by those who hurl insults and abuse at small business workers and steal food from the homeless. We won’t give in to those who fly racist flags. We won’t cave to those who engage in vandalism or dishonour the memory of our veterans.”

Let us address the points mentioned above with clarity. Canadians did, in fact, call out the masked man- the only one wearing a mask, mind you- holding the confederate flag:

The Terry Fox statue was cleaned:

Garbage was piled nicely on the streets, much the chagrin of a CBC senior reporter:

As for the theft from the homeless, Shepherds of Good Hope has had so much food donated to them, that “there’s no more place to store it,” reports the Sun. Oh, it certainly may be true that people have experienced theft and harassment this weekend, (as all the other weekends in Ottawa), but it is not necessarily done by protestors there, in the name of the movement, with a driving intent to overthrow the government.

As for the Nazi flag, one of the only news organizations interested in doing investigative journalism, getting to the bottom of the story and finding out what is the impetus behind someone holding such an abhorrent piece of imagery, is True North. Candice Malcom, editor-in-chief, has offered a cash reward for information. The rest of corporate media, many of whom receive subsidies from the government (True North does not), seem content to opinionate upon conspiracy theories in their columns rather than do any actual work.

And for the encore

Staking out territory, Trudeau continues to make demarcations on constitutional rights. In a multi-pronged effort, he was able to chastise Canadians for exercising their rights, virtue signal to leftist activists in a wail for support, and strip bear the remainder of his integrity and duty as Prime Minister to represent all Canadians and our values:

“I have attended protests and rallies in the past, when I agreed with the goals, when I supported the people expressing their concerns and their issues. Black Lives Matter is an excellent example of that. But I have also chosen to not go anywhere near protests that expressed hateful rhetoric, violence towards fellow citizens and a disrespect, not just of science, but of the front line health workers, and quite fairly the 90% of truckers who have been doing the right thing to keep Canadian’s safe, to put food on their tables. Canadians know where I stand. This is a moment for responsible leaders to think carefully about where they stand and who they stand with.”

Canadians remember quite clearly Trudeau’s genuflection for BLM, when, during a pandemic and restrictions, this neo-Marxist organization was able to hold a protest without any condemnation by government officials. We also remember the violence toward fellow citizens last summer with the burning of some 68 churches. One of which, in the case of the George Coptic Orthodox Church, was built by refugees who had fled persecution in the middle east. Trudeau remained silent for days while this desecration occurred.

It is also quite apparent the respect Canadians have for health care workers who worked through the pandemic, many of whom have now been fired from their positions for not taking a medical treatment for a virus they may have antibodies for. Adding insult to injury, some hospitals allowed sick vaccinated workers, over using unsick unvaccinated workers, come in for shifts.

If 90% of truckers are vaccinated, then why the #vaccinevendetta, one wonders? Rupa Subramanya provides an expose into the truckers which is dominated by Punjabi drivers- the south asian face of white supremacy, apparently- and notes of the Freedom Convoy organizers:

“One myth that was busted right away was the striking diversity of the protestors starting with the two main organizers, Benjamin Dichter, who is Jewish and Tamara Lich, who is Metis.”

“One Indo-Canadian trucker, Kamal Pannu from Montreal, I spoke to, was bemused that the protestors were being bracketed as white supremacists when so many of them including he himself are ethnic minorities and people of colour.”

Here is but one brief interview to illustrate the point:

The State Broadcaster(s)

But all the corporate media are reporting that the protestors are (silently) white supremacist thugs, so it must be true! To understand the source of the media’s incentive to make such ludicrous claims, please refer back to the citation about government subsidies. It may also be valuable to note the Trudeau Liberals’ plan to remove advertising from the CBC, making it fully dependent on government funding.

What might come of such an ownership of a media company? We have already witnessed the absurd attempt by CBC to weave in a Russian operative who is manipulating social media to such an extent as to pollute Canadians hearts and minds towards the “Right Honourable” Prime Minster and his merry band of groupies. Entertaining the absurdity for a moment, let us substitute Russian operative for Canadian bureaucrat, and social media for corporate news organization. Think of what a government can do with propaganda when they own the channels through which it is perpetrated.

Not solely the media, the Trudeau Liberals have other state broadcasters, which includes the vast majority of NDP, (particularly Jagmeet Singh), former Liberal politicians and bureaucrats, as well as the “truanon” contingent of the public who refuse to acknowledge facts that contradict their perceptions. They all seem willing to intentionally spread misinformation and disinformation (two of Trudeau’s favourite buzz words; always paired together like bull and shit), about ground zero at the Freedom Convoy. Take for example MP Chris Bittle (Liberal) who tried to disparage MP Michael Cooper (Conservative) for being interviewed with an offensive image in the background.

MP Mark Gerretsen (Liberal), who’s twitter is littered with hateful rhetoric, attacked MP Garnet Genuis (Conservative) for defending his compatriot Cooper.

Lacklustre former Liberal MP, yet still #truanon, Catherine McKenna, joined in to spread of falsehoods about Conservatives. Taking a break from her position as an ambassador for climate hysterics, she spewed forth this toxic filth:

“Instead of standing w/ Ottawans, [MP Pierre Poilivre (Conservative)] stood w/ folks with swastikas & confederate flags who beat up homeless, denigrated memorials, closed biz.”

No Conservative did any such thing

Responding to the Liberals attacks, Cooper released a statement, explicitly stating:

“Naziism is the purest form of evil and I have always condemned it completely.”

While on fire in the House of Commons, Poilivre slaughtered the Liberal narrative:

“Just because the Prime Minister dressed up in racist costumes so many times, he can’t remember them all. Doesn’t mean every single Liberal is a racist.”

And as for Gerretsen’s comment

The fringe minority and their intent

The Trudeau Liberals won a minority government with the lowest vote share in Canadian federal history and lost the popular vote to the Conservatives. Even Elon Musk noted that the Trudeau government is, in fact, the fringe minority. This fringe of bullies are intentionally using emotionally charged rhetoric to stir up a fight. They want this to be like the January 6th, 2021 riots at the United States Capital. True North has reported that organizers of the convoy have warned the protestors not to be baited into government buildings, even with an invitation. They also exposed that some the “experts” being cited in news sources are left wing activists from the anti-hate network, who are being touted as journalists.

I am concerned about my fellow Canadians. I am concerned about those who focus on the media propaganda that spreads fear and hate. I am concerned that they are perceiving a picture of Canada as a wretched place to live; their fellow Canadians as evil, racist. This has been a narrative long in the story telling. It has been propagated and edited for decades, by many different actors- adding this inflection here, that policy change there- in an attempt to dismantle Canadian democracy and replace it with a globalist utopian dream. Does totalitarianism by any other name kill any less people? I am sure some will think I am being hyperbolic, that the intent of the Trudeau Liberals is to do what is best for society. Then I ask you this: why is Brian Peckford, the last surviving signatory of the founding of the constitution, suing the Liberal government?

Canadians will not be divided by the Trudeau Liberals’ attempt at playing Machiavellian politics. We will not live under the boot of supposed social justice policies that rank people on immutable characteristics. We will not allow the government to determine who can work at what job and when. We will not allow medical bureaucrats to dictate our health care. We will not allow the Laurentian elitists’ condescending, pretentious arrogance, to determine our culture. We will not be baited and we will not lose. We are Canadian. True North Strong and Free.
